Description
Three-stepped octagonal base surmounted by a distinctive two-stage plinth, octagonal sectioned tapering shaft & closed lantern. Lower stage of plinth has star-like indented incised inscription faces on each of the eight sides. Upper stage is octagonal in plan with four, scallop-topped buttresses on alternate sides. Two raised laurel wreaths protrude on opposing flats of upper stage. Incised inscriptions on each upper stage face. Closed lantern has carvings of the Crucifixion, mother & child, St. Martin dividing his cloak & St. George & the dragon.
