History
2007/2008: the memorial was overgrown by the hedge and barely visible from the road. Members of the Mordens Branch cleaned the memorial so it was visible again. The then owners of the site, Mr Jeremy Fordham and June Fordham funded a replacement backing fence. In 2016 a grant of £1,270 was awarded through the War Memorials Trust Grants Scheme towards cleaning with steam to improve legibility of the inscription, painting the lettering black to match existing and lime mortar pointing.
