Description
WW1, red granite tablet enclosed by a Portland stone frame, set into a stand-alone modern red brick wall topped with brick coping. WW2, landscape orientated red granite tablet set flush into wall, one brick course above WW1 frame. Incised inscription and names on both tablets infilled with gold coloured paint.

WW1 Tablet : THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED BY PUBLIC SUBSCRIPTION / IN MEMORY OF THE SOLDIERS OF EASTREA, WHO GAVE / THEIR LIVES FOR KING & COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR / AUGUST 4TH 1914 - JUNE 23RD 1919. / (7 NAMES) GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS THAT A MAN LAY DOWN / HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS.
