Description
Celtic cross with decorated shaft set on a pedestal with columns at each corner. The whole is on a short plinth and base with a stone surround. Tablets are on each face of the pedestal with the names in gold lettering.

6 o'clock face: THE BLOOD OF HEROES IS THE SEED OF FREEDOM. / ERECTED BY THE WOMEN OF PADIHAM, / IN HONOURED MEMORY OF THE / MEN OF THIS TOWN WHO SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES IN THE / GREAT WAR 1914-1918 / 3, 9, and 12 o'clock faces: (Names) Tablet set in paving: "Think well of us, on land / for which we feel we fell / may all go well with Britain, / still go well / keep her bright banners free / from spot or stain. / Lest we should dream / that we may die in vain!"/ 1914-1918.
