Wall-mounted stone tablet with veined marble mount. Incised lettering. Relief above tablet depicting sword, feather and sword belt with tassels.
Inscription
TO THE GLORY OF GOD / AND IN MEMORY OF/ EDMUND SWETENHAM / A LIEUT. IN THE 2ND BN DURHAM LIGHT / INFANTRY. THE ONLY CHILD OF CLEMENT / AND LOUISA SWETENHAM, NE CREYKE / HIS WIFE, OF SOMERFORD BOOTHS. HE / WAS KILLED IN ACTION AT RUE DE / BOIS NEAR ARMENTIERES IN FRANCE / OCTOBER 27TH 1914 AGED 24 YEARS / THY WILL BE DONE.
