Description
"RIDDLE" POSTS. FOUR POSTS SURROUNDING ALTAR BETWEEN WHICH IS HUNG A CURTAIN, round the back and sides of the altar. The two front posts wach bear a badge of the North Yorkshire Regiment (Green Howards), carved and painted gold. The dedication is carried at the foot of the left hand post, the lettering incised and painted blue, using Roman capitals throughout.
