Description
Brass Plaque with a dome at centre top and elaborate corners, set in a wood frame which echoes its shape. There is a border of a single line sunk in casting and enamelled black. At centre top is a red Cross set in a black laurel wreath. The names are listed in three columns, the lettering is in Roman capitals with some red initials.

GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS/ LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS. TO THE IMPERISHABLE MEMORY OF THOSE/ MEN OF CORBRIDGE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ DURING THE EUROPEAN WAR 1914 - 1918/[names]/ "In sweet and certain hope of the Resurrection to Eternal Life through/our Lord Jesus Christ".
