Description
Cross, measuring 117 cm x 37 cm at base, approx. 5m tall. The cross is of Celtic design, tapering towards the top, and decorated on one side only with carved plaited knotwork design in the top panels of the shaft. It stands on a two-stepped plinth with curved corners. The lettering is raised by carving out the background, and is in the lower panels on the shaft, and also on the front of the plinth. The whole stands in a small grassy area enclosed by a low fence made of horizontal metal rails. CELTIC KNOTWORK DESIGN ON THE SHAFT OF THE CROSS
