HAMMERED BRASS PLAQUE ENRICHED WITH ENAMELL MOUNTED ONTO A GREEN MARBLE SLAB. FIGURES DEPICTED ON THE PLAQUE. BRITANNIA LAYS TRIBUTE AT THE FEET OF THE FALLEN AND COMFORTS THE MOURNER. PEACE LAYS AN OLIVE BRANCH AT THE SIDE OF A RECUMBANT SOLDIER. THE OUTER BORDER BEARS A WREATH OF LAUREL. AT THE HEAD IS THE CROSS, AT THE FOOT A SHIELD WITH THE CROSS OF ST.GEORGE, THE PATRON SAINT OF SOLDIERS.
