History
An application to the Grants for War Memorials Scheme was received in 2011 and an offer of £3,915 was made, based on a total quote of £7,830. The project was to remove the split asphalt roof covering and relay, to remove ferrous cramps within the stone work which were causing damage and replace, to undertake stone repairs and re-pointing. In August 2012 a request was submitted to the Colne and District Committee to allocate funding from its capital programme allocation for 2012/2013 to cover the remaining cost and it was approved. 2011, November: Addition of the name of Sergeant John Baxter, Lancashire Fusiliers in the form of 'J. Baxter', inscribed on a marble tablet sited level with the existing tablet on the West wall. 2010, October: Cleaned and refurbished. Stonework cleaned and chemically washed, plaques cleaned and polished.
