- On each face: 1914 - 1919/ (NAMES)/ 1939 - 1945/ (NAMES)/ THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE There are 2 panels flanking the cenotaph: one headed "1914-1921" with 34 names and the other "HMHS Rohilla/to the memory of/twelve men/from this town who lost/their lives at sea/near Whitby/on October the 30th 1914/and who were members of /the Barnoldswick St John/Ambulance Brigade/and the Royal Naval Sick/Berth Reserve"/1939-1945/12names/New Memorial Area/Dedicated/September/8th 2013.
