- Description
- Two-stepped square base surmounted by a square sectioned moulded sub plinth and a square sectioned main plinth incorporating partial stop-chamfered corners, followed a tapering octagonal shaft, boss and cross. WW1 incised inscriptions on front face of plinth and upper step face. WW1 names incised on three other faces of plinth. WW2 incised inscription on rear upper step face. The whole memorial stands within an octagonal hard garden area enclosed by low kerbing.

- 6 o'clock plinth face: IN / GRATEFUL / AND LOVING MEMORY / OF THE MEN / OF THIS PARISH / WHO LAID DOWN / THEIR LIVES / IN THE GREAT WAR / 1914 - 1919 // 3, 9 and 12 o'clock plinth faces: (NAMES) // 6 o'clock upper step face: THEY SHALL NOT GROW OLD AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD / AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN / AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING / WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM // 12 o'clock upper step face: ALL FROM THIS PARISH / WHO SERVED BETWEEN 1939 - 1945 / BY THE GRACE OF GOD RETURNED SAFELY.
