Cenotaph surmounted by sphinx. Carvings of Lancashire rose at top corners of each side of shaft of cenotaph. Reliefs of badge of Lancashire Fusiliers at top centre.

HON. THE EARL OF DERBY, K.G., P.C., G.C.B., G.C.V.O. ON THE 17TH JULY 1922./ NEARLY THREE QUARTERS OF THE MONEY RAISED WAS HANDED TO THE LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS COMPASSIONATE AND WAR MEMORIAL FUND FOR THE ASSISTANCE OF MEMBERS OF THE REGIMENT AND THEIR DEPENDENTS.
