Description
Two-stepped square base surmounted by a square sectioned plinth & square sectioned tapering obelisk. Angled block tablet between upper step & plinth. Metal plaque with raised border enclosing inscriptions & names in relief, added to the memorial as the original incised inscriptions were badly eroded. 31 existing "served & returned" names were not re-instated to the new plaque.

1992, October : inscription badly eroded. 2013 : The original incised inscription has been replaced by a metal plaque. Only the names of the eight men who died are now listed. Originally, the 31 names of those who served and returned were also listed.
