Description
Large square, seven-coursed stone foundation step supporting a two-stepped square base surmounted by a round-sectioned pillar, above which, is a square-based sundial. Incised inscriptions on each face of the middle step.

History
1992 : The sundial itself was missing. The remaining structure is very old and consequently rather weathered, with the edges worn smooth and the top badly cracked. The middle step of the base was presumably added when the sundial was converted into a war memorial. See file for further comments on the conversion.
