- Description
- Three-stepped square base surmounted by a stepped, four-stage square sectioned plinth and square sectioned tapering obelisk. Regimental badge of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, comprising a Monarchial Crown, below which, is a bugle-horn stringed, are both attached to the north and south sides of the obelisk. The upper and also tallest plinth stage incorporates an overhanging shelf moulding at the top and a simpler moulding at its base. Incised inscriptions on this upper stage plinth occupy the east and west faces, whilst the incised commencement and finish years of the Great War are on the north and south faces. The whole memorial stands on a grassy area, sandwiched between a converging, acute angled, road junction.
