- Description
- Three-stepped base comprising, an octagonal platform-topped lower step, hexagonal middle step & square upper step, surmounted by a square sectioned plinth, two-stage, square footed shaft transposing to a parallel sided octagonal shaft, then octagonal taper towards the wheel cross. Incised inscription on upper step faces & incised names on plinth faces. Shallow angled stone tablet rests at front of lower step. The whole memorial stands within a paved area enclosed by a post & chain fence, adjacent to roadside.
