- Description
- Wall-mounted rectangular marble tablet. Within the pink marble frame is a recessed panel of white marble, which has an inset narrow rectangular band of green marble that surrounds the inscription. At top-centre of the incised inscription (in black lettering) is the crest of the Royal Flying Corps.

- Banbury Guardian - Thursday 22 May 1919 (page 8) reported: 'MEMORIAL TABLET TO LIEUT. J. LIDSEY, - On Friday evening a special meeting was held in the vestry of the Parish Church under the presidency of the Vicar (Rev. A. J. Jones) for the purpose of passing formal resolution applying for a faculty to erect a mural tablet in the Parish Church in memory of Lieut. J. Lidsey. of the Royal Air Force, who was killed in the early days of the war in France. Mr. W. Wood proposed and Mr. C. R. Palmer seconded that a faculty be applied for by the Vicar and churchwardens, and it was carried, and the Vicar will accordingly forward the application to the proper quarters. The tablet, which will be of alabaster marble, will be erected by Mr. and Mrs. W. L. R.
