Description
Cross in perpendicular gothic style. Complex octagonal structure surmounted by finials and a lantern top with flying buttresses supporting the cross and small shield. Names on slate panels set into plinth. Whole monument set on octangonal four stepped base. Statues of Sailor, Cavalryman, Artilleryman, Infantryman, Imperial Yeoman, Militiaman, Volunteer and Nurse, the soldiers resting on arms reversed, set in niches on front face.
