WINDOW ONE: THIS XIV CENTURY GLASS FROM THE CHURCH/ OF ST JOHN MICKLEGATE WAS PLACED HERE WINDOW TWO: IN MEMORY OF ALL RANKS OF THE KINGS/ OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY WHO/ LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES IN THE WAR 1939 - 1945 WINDOW THREE: THIS GLASS WAS GIVEN BY/ SIR RICHARD YORKE, LORD MAYOR/ OF THE CITY IN 1469 AND 1482/ TO THE CHURCH OF ST JOHN/ MICKLEGATE, WAS INSERTED HERE/ IN MEMORY OF ALL RANKS OF/ THE KINGS OWN YORKSHIRE LIGHT/ INFANTRY , WHO LAID DOWN THEIR/ LIVES IN THE WAR 1939 - 1945 WINDOW FOUR: IT REPLACES WINDOWS/ DEDICATED TO THE OFFICERS/ AND MEN AND THEIR WIVES/ AND CHILDREN OF/ THE 51ST AND 94TH REGIMENTS/ WHO DIED OF CHOLERA IN INDIA/ A.D 1861/ THEY ALSO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY/ FORGET THEM NOT.
