Description
Wall mounted, landscape oriented, apex-headed black marble backboard supporting a nowy-headed, incised white marble tablet incorporating a stop-rebated base. Black equal-armed cross at top centre of tablet. Inscription infilled with black paint.

YEOMAN RIFLES / BORN 14TH NOVEMBER 1889, / KILLED IN ACTION 12TH MARCH 1917, / BURIED IN KLEIN VIERSTRAAT BRITISH CEMETERY / 3 3/4 MILES S.SW OF YPRES. / HE WAS FOR SOME YEARS SUPERINTENDENT OF THE / SUNDAY SCHOOL OF THIS CHURCH. / THE TOIL, THE BITTERNESS, ALL PAST, / WE TRUST HIM TO THY LOVE AT LAST.
