- VERY ELABORATE ROLL OF HONOUR, A TRIPTYCH IN THE FORM OF A CROSS. FIVE SECTIONS. CENTRAL PANEL HAS THE NAMES. UPPER, LEFT AND RIGHT PANELS DECORATED WITH PRINTS (SEE BELOW). LOWER PANEL, APPARENTLY A LATER ADDITION, HAS NAMES AND A SMALL PRINT. TOP PANEL DEPICTS THE VIRGIN AND CHILD. LEFT LEAF SHOWS A SOLDIER SUPPORTING A WOUNDED COMRADE, WITH CHRIST APPEARING BEHIND HIM. RIGHT LEAF SHOWS A SAILOR ON THE BRIDGE OF A SHIP WITH CHRIST APPEARING BEHIND HIM. SMALL PRINT ON THE LOWER PANEL IS "THE GREAT SACRIFICE": CHRIST APPEARING ABOVE A DYING SOLDIER.
