- Description
- Alabaster Reredos and Altar. Reredos is ornate, topped with finial and canopy. Sculpted figures in centre of Reredos of Christ Crucified and Mary with Cross behind. Further niches holding figures either side of central scene. Tablets to sides of niches bear the names and commemoration in incised, gilt lettering. Carved scene at front of Altar of Angel leaning over fallen soldier, reflecting scene above of Mary and Jesus.
