- MALTESE STYLE CROSS SURMOUNTING TALL HEXAGONAL COLUMN, PLINTH AND TWO STEPPED BASE. SET IN SMALL ELEVATED FLOWER BED SURROUNDED BY A LOW STONE WALL SMALL BRONZE ANGELS MOUNTED ON FACES EITHER SIDE OF THE MAIN INSCRIPTION, ONE HOLDING A WREATH AND THE OTHER A SWORD, OTHER SIDES HAVE WW1 NAMES PANELS. WW2 name panel is sited below the WW1 memorials. THE BYWATER COLLIERIES PANEL IS SEPARATE AND LAID AT AN ANGLE AT THE BASE OF THE FRONT FACE.
