- Base surmounted by round tower with internal vault and piers supporting a capitol. In the centre is a tripod candle holder. Doorway on one side of the memorial with decorative grille. Whole stands on a large paved base with three steps leading up to it. WW2 names placed on a low wall on either side of the base Dewsbury coat of arms carved in relief above the dedicatory inscription
