- Square-sided pillar with cross carved at top. Set on square plinth with inscription and names on bronze plaques on each side. WWI theatre of war on bronze plaques set on bronze wreaths at base of column above plinth. Stands on square four-stepped base. WWII inscription and names on stone batter set at front of base of plinth. Two large shell cases in front of column. Whole area set behind Hednesbury war memorial gates. Inverted bronze sword on front of pillar with palm branch to one side and olive branch to other side.

- Unknown, undated newspaper clipping indicates a planned £5000 facelift. January 2007 expressandstar.com report regarding a suggestion to move the memorial to the town centre due to vandalism on its current site. This suggestion was rejected by local ballot.
