Description
Book of remembrance in a purpose built wall-mounted wood & glass case. The book which is written by hand in black, red and blue ink is displayed against an illuminated sheet of vellum (?) decorated with the inscription in gold red and black with the Arms of the City of Bradford and the See of Bradford in colour. Embroidered poppy behind case.

These laid the world away, poured out the red wine of youth: gave up the years to be of work and joy/ And that unhoped serene that men call age: and those who would have been their sons they gave their immortality/ REMEMBER/ THE MEN AND WOMEN OF BRADFORD WHO GAVE/ THEIR LIVES IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1939 – 1945
