- Description
- Bronze tablet on polished decorative wooden backboard, backboard is approximately 50mm thick, with bevelled edges. Bronze tablet has raised hollowed edging, repeated between the upper inscription and the three columns of names, also between the individual columns. Dedication across the top of the three columns of names, with a fleuron to the left and right of the wording. Below each column of names, is an individual phrase, inscribed on a horizontal scroll eg "The strife is o'er, the battle done". Inscription is in raised Roman lettering. Either side of the laurel wreathed cross at the head of the memorial tablet is swag of oakleaves, with acorns.
