- Description
- Winged Victory surmounting a tall stepped pedestal. The whole stands on a broad stone base with pillars at the four corners on which are placed four smaller figures holding emblems of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Nursing Services. These figures are now missing. The pillars are linked by chain link railings which enclose the area.

- 2011, Jan. Man given community service after admitting receiving one ofthe five plaques. 2010: Public donations collected to improve security and Manchester City Council have paid for replacement name plaques. Two of the three bronze name plaques were stolen in July. 2006: The memorial was restored. The bronze plaques were removed and conserved off-site whilst the stone was conserved and cleaned in-situ. Date unknown: The four small figures were lost, reason unknown.
