Description
Rough stone of remembrance with two attached plaques- the upper being the dedication plaque, the lower for the names. Lettering in low relief. Ten associated American Oak trees. In 2019 the memorial was supplemented by a new flagpole and an additional American Oak.

History
2019: The meorial was supplemented by a flagpole paid for by the pupils of a nearby school -Birkdale - and Boeing Europe. There is now an information board at the memorial - put up by Sheffield City Council - detailing the 'MI-AMIGO' story. The council also planted a new American Oak to commemorate the 75th anniversary. 2012: Decking installed by Sheffield City Council.
