2008: Local scrap metal merchants had been approached by someone who wanted to weigh it in for cash. They refused but unfortunately the person was not caught and the plaque was not recovered. An appeal fund was started which enabled a marble tablet (Our ref. 60887) to be erected in its place. November 2007: Plaque has been stolen
