Inscription
To the Glory of God and in loving / memory of Lance Corporal Claude Rands / Born July 16 1887 Stretcher bearer / in the 1/7 (Robin Hood) Battn Sherwood / Foresters. Killed while attending / a comrade near Loos May 16 1917. / "We were comforted over you ... by your faith." / THESS III.7.
