TO THE MEMORY OF/ WILLIAM WILLIAMS/ LIEUT. OF HER MAJESTYS 13TH REG. LIGHT INFANTRY/ SON OF MICHAEL AND ELIZABETH WILLIAMS OF TREVINCE IN THIS PARISH/ HE DIED ON 13TH OF JUNE 1846 IN HIS TWENTY-SIXTH YEAR/ FROM THE EFFECTS OF A SEVERE CAMPAIGN IN INDIA/ WHILST SERVING UNDER GEN SIR ROBERT SALE/ AT THE MEMORIAL SEIGE OF JALALABAD IN THE YEAR 1842/ TO HIS FRIENDS THERE IS LEFT/ THE CONSOLATION OF THE MANY CHARACTER AND PERSONAL VIRTUES/ WHICH WILL LONG SURVIVE IN THEIR/ SORROWFUL REMEMBRANCE
