- Description
- Large cube-like foundation stone covered with pebble-dash supporting a three-stepped, rectangular sectioned base, surmounted by a rectangular sectioned shaft with integrated Latin Cross. Pinned-lead inscriptions on each frontal step face.
- Inscription
- Top step: " GREATER LOVE HATH / NO MAN THAN THIS, THAT A / MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE / FOR HIS FRIENDS." // Middle step: 1914 " INVICTIS PAX." 1919 // Bottom step: TO THE GLORY OF GOD, / IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE SAILORS, / SOLDIERS AND AIR MEN OF THIS / PARISH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR.
