Description
White marble tablet with a semi-circular arch at the centre within which is etched the badge of the Devonshire Regiment. The inscription is incised, with the subject's names gilded and the remainder blacked.

This Tablet is placed here/ By his Parents and Brothers/ To the Dear Memory of/ Frederick Cheetham Taylor/ Private, "A" Company 9th Batt. Devonshire Regiment./ Born March 9th, 1897, Fell in Action, July 1st 1916,/ at the battle of the Somme./ He was an esteemed member of this Church/ and a teacher in the Sunday School./ "Greater love hath no man than this,/ That a man lay down his life for his friends."/ "Until the Day dawn".
