- White marble tablet with a semi-circular arch at the centre within which is etched the badge of the Devonshire Regiment. The inscription is incised, with the subject's names gilded and the remainder blacked.

- This Tablet is placed here/ By his Parents and Brothers/ To the Dear Memory of/ Frederick Cheetham Taylor/ Private, "A" Company 9th Batt. Devonshire Regiment./ Born March 9th, 1897, Fell in Action, July 1st 1916,/ at the battle of the Somme./ He was an esteemed member of this Church/ and a teacher in the Sunday School./ "Greater love hath no man than this,/ That a man lay down his life for his friends."/ "Until the Day dawn".
