2004 A War Memorials Trust grant of £400 was awarded to clean the memorial, re-point some of the joints and re-lettering works to repair some of the names; 2000: PLANS TO MOVE THE MEMORAL ABANDONED;1998: PLAN TO MOVE THE MEMORIAL FROM THE CHURCH WHICH WAS DAMAGED BY FIRE AND IS NO LONGER USED, NEARER TO THE CENTRE OF TOWN;
