Description

THREE STEPS LEAD UP TO THE BASE SURMOUNTED BY A SQUARE DOUBLE PLINTH, COLUMN AND CAPITOL. WHOLE IS SURMOUNTED BY A METAL URN. DEDICATORY INSCRIPTION CARVED INTO ONE SIDE OF THE STONE BASE AND NAMES ON METAL PLAQUES ATTACHED TO THE SIDES OF THE PLINTH METAL RELIEF OF A WREATH AND GARLAND IS ABOVE EACH NAME PLAQUE. the plaques for later conflicts, also for 7 additional WW1 casualties, also for those who died in WW1 in Torquay hospitals are on the top face of base 4 of the memorial. The WW2 names plaques are on the side faces of base4. All plaques are bronze.
