- A painted crucifix, flanked by the figures of Mary and John, stands on the rood beam beneath the chancel arch. The figure of Christ is on a guilded Latin cross which has its arms and head extended by quatrefoils embellished with alternating fluer-de-lys and stalked clusters of three berries. The crucifix is supported at the top by three iron straps fixed into the arch. All three figures stand on the rood beam. The names of the 5 men who died in the Great War are painted on the beam.
