- Description
- Three-light stained glass window with tracery lights above it. Figures are in each light and inscription reads across the base. There are 12 names presented on each marble tablet that is set into ledge below each of the 'lights'. Figure of Christ on the Cross in the centre of the window. The raising of Lazarus is depicted in the left hand light and Christ giving the Crown of Life to a soldier is depicted in the right hand light.

- left light - THY BROTHER SHALL RISE AGAIN (...) right light - I WILL GIVE THEE A CROWN OF LIFE/ along the bottom of the window the following text runs across the three lights - THIS WINDOW COMMEMORATES THE MEN OF WINCANTON WHO WERE NUMBERED AMONG THOSE/ WHO AT THE CALL OF KING AND COUNTRY LEFT ALL THAT WAS DEAR TO THEM ENDURED/ HARDNESS FACED DANGER AND FINALLY PASSED OUT OF THE SIGHT OF MEN BY THE PATH OF/ DUTY AND SELF SACRIFICE GIVING UP THEIR OWN LIVES THAT OTHERS MIGHT LIVE IN FREEDOM/ (36 names)/ 1914 - 1919
