Description
Celtic cross on octagonal base backed by a low sandstone wall with three tablets built in originally. The side tablets have carved WW2 names and in the centre is now a metal plaque with the WW1 names. On the front face of the cross there is a wreath and a sword. There are inscriptions carved into the sides of the plinth.

Original sandstone panels of WW1 names have been overfaced with bronze panels inscribed with the names in white enamel. New memorial constructed (niwm 9043; 1978) base rather weathered (1990) church closed and future of memorial uncertain (1993). The church was bought by the Oasis Christian Centre, renovated and renamed Christchurch Oasis, Elim Pentecostal Church. (2011)
