- Framed dedication: Great War/ 1914 - 1918/ Memorial/ The Clock in the Tower of/ this church was erected in 1920/ by the Parishioners of Charlton/ Adam in memory of the eight/ members of the Parish, who gave/ their lives for King and Country./ The clock strikes on the/ Pre-Reformation Bell, 'Sancta/ Margareta"", which was cast in/ about 1400.
