- Description
- Stone wheel cross surmounting tapering pedestal, with Celtic-style carving on head and shaft of cross. WW1 names on front and back pediments in metal lettering: names are set out by soldier/sailor categorisation within year of death. On the right-hand pediment, later addition of WW2 slate tablet with carved lettering commemorating Merchant Navy personnel, and below this, on the base, a slate plaque with white lettering commemorating a Royal Naval Reserve officer also lost in WW2 . Also a white plaque on the base with the name of a RNR officer lost in WW2.
