Description

ROOD AND BEAM. BEAM RESTS ON THE MOULDED STONE CORBELS OF THE CHACEL ARCH. HAS A SLIGHTLY ARCHED UPPER EDGE ON THE NAVE SIDE WITH MOULDED DENTIL EDGING. LOWER EDGE HAS CONCAVE BEVELLING, FILLED ON THE NAVE SIDE WITH FOUR-PETALLED FLOWERS. STANDING ON PLAIN PLINTHS ARE A LATIN CROSS WITH CORPUS CHRISTI AND INRI INCISED ON A SCROLL; VIRGIN MARY WITH HANDS CLASPED (LEFT) AND ST JOHN WITH HANDS CLASPED (RIGHT)
