- Maurice John Hervey Bagot CWGC details are www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/3044622/maurice-john-hervey-bagot The framed wooden plaque is the dedication on the old pulpit given by Bagot’s sister Cicely Wigan in his memory. It is situated near a lectern that I assume serves the same purpose. Interestingly Bagot lost his life in the Battle of Coronel on 1 November 1914, the same action that cost the life of Douglas Courtenay Tudor (WMR 23451) who has his own memorial in the same church, although they served on different ships. stmarysshalford.com/history/
