Description
Five-stepped base surmounted by tapered plinth, shaft and Latin Cross. Black inscription on two sides of the plinth. Eight chain-linked posts surround the memorial with three ornate street lamps placed equidistantly around. A CAPTURED GERMAN MORTAR WAS PLACED BY THE MEMORIAL BUT IT IS NO LONGER THERE- probably removed for scrap in WW2.
