- Description
- Tall tapered cross of limestone on a two tiered cruciform base. Dates 1914-1918 in crux of cross surrounded by a carved laurel wreath from which ribbons hang. Beneath on the front face of the column is an inlaid granite tablet with the names of those killed in WW1 and WW2, and on the front face of the column base another inlaid granite tablet with the names of those from nearby Setchey killed in WW1, On both tablets, the dedication and names are incised and picked out in white. On the top step, below the base, there is an incised inscription in black.

- 2000: Memorial refurbished by the Parish Council. 2008: Tablet added to the base recording the First World War fallen from nearly Setchey. Presumably this followed the closure of St Mary's Church in Setchey. NB Two of these, Britton and Howling, are recorded on the Setchey roll of honour now at All Saints Church North Runcton - see memorial record number 56267.
