- Description
- LATIN CROSS ON SHAFT OF PORTLAND STONE ON A SQUARE MOULDED BASE RISING FROM THREE STEPS. THE LETTERING IS CUT INTO THE STONE AND FILLED WITH LEAD. THE TOP OF THE SHAFT IS DECORATED WITH OAK LEAVES AND DECORATIONS ON THE SIDES INCLUDE A CARVED ANCHOR AND CHAIN (North face), CARVED CROSSED RIFLES (South face), Hertfordshire badge surrounded by dates 1914 1918 (East face) AND A CARVED WREATH(West face).
