Description
Square stone column in art nouveau unical style. Column mounted on square plinth which bears recessed names and inscription. Whole stands on three-stepped stone base. Four carved shields; Cross of St George and County Arms of Essex

IN EVER GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF THE MEN OF ORSETT WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR AND ESPECIALLY OF THOSE WHO LAID DOWN THIER LIVES FOR THE HONOUR OF THIS COUNTRY.
