- Square stone column in art nouveau unical style. Column mounted on square plinth which bears recessed names and inscription. Whole stands on three-stepped stone base. Four carved shields; Cross of St George and County Arms of Essex

- IN EVER GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF THE MEN OF ORSETT WHO SERVED IN THE GREAT WAR AND ESPECIALLY OF THOSE WHO LAID DOWN THIER LIVES FOR THE HONOUR OF THIS COUNTRY.
