A TABLET OF WHITE MARBLE ON A GREY MARBLE BASE IN AN OAK SURROUND. IT IS ALSO ACCOMPANIED BY A BOOK COVERING THE ROLL OF SERVICE.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF MANY WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918. "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS." THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED BY THE EFFORTS OF THE AINSDALE BRANCH OF THE GIRLS FRIENDLY SOCIETY.
