Description
This memorial consists of six grey stone marble panels, set into wall niches, straight at sides and base with the top trefoil shaped. Each panel has at the top the badge of the 60th Kings Royal Rifle Corps in natural colours. Below this the dedication is incised and coloured red and runs across all six panels. The names are incised in the body of the panels and coloured black. Those officers who died as a result of conflict are described as "killed " or "died of wounds" together with the date of death. Those officers who did not die as a result of conflict are described as "died" together with the date of death. On the two recently added panels, names are grouped by date of death, all such dates on these panels refer to death other than in conflict. In front of the memorial is a Roll of Honour for the KRRC's service in South Africa which together with the window above forms a separate memorial (see #21938) .
